fabulous redhead quotes!

I found some totally awesome redhead quotes I just had to share!

"While the rest of the species is descended from apes,
redheads are descended from cats."
Mark Twain

"Once in his life, every man is entitled
to fall in love with a gorgeous redhead!"
Lucille Ball, 1972

" If you want trouble... find your self a redhead."

"Gentlemen may prefer blondes,
but it takes a real man
to handle a redhead."

Only two things are necessary to keep a redhead happy.
One is to let her think she is having her own way,
and the other is to let her have it.

"Ruadh gu brath! "
Scots gaelic for "Redheads forever!"

Redheads are known to have a complicated personality, and are considered a myth.
There has yet to be seen a simple-natured Redheaded female.
Those that I've met so far matched the myth.

"You'd find it easier to be bad than good if you had red hair," said Anne reproachfully. "People who haven't red hair don't know what trouble is."
(by character Anne Shirley speaking to her guardian Marilla in book 'Anne of Green Gables')

"Blondes are wild, brunettes are true, but you never know just what a redhead will do!"

V-Day 2010

The Vagina Monologues was a smashing success! We were able to raise just over $3,000 dollars for the local women's shelter, Hilltop's Latimer House, as well as Grand Junction's Family Planning center. Not to mention it was a ton of fun! I am looking forward to next year when I can get even more involved in stopping the violence against women around the world.

I also found a new book by Eve Ensler, creater of the Vagina Monologues. It's called I Am an Emotional Creature. It's similiar to the Vagina Monologues but it's targeted towards teens and young women. It's a very good read and is drawn from interviews with all kinds of girls in the US. I ordered a copy for $8 from

"Nothing is more important then stopping the violence against women." -Eve Ensler.

Until the violence stops.

mother, n; my idol.

My mom actually started up a blog and said that it was a lot of fun and she really enjoyed it... so I thought that I would try it out as well. I love journaling but I seem to type much faster then I write anymore and I am often closer to a computer then my journal at home.

I also thought that this might help me through the process that I am going through. Hopefully it does, because I won't lie. I don't particularly enjoy this process. One day it'll be over though.

Get Your Motor Running...

It's my first time starting up this here blog to dedicate to my home and my projects!

Friends and family have told me for quite awhile that I need to find a way to showcase all of the crazy things I do around my little house. For once I actually listened!

A little history:
When I was 18 my fabulous parents helped me to purchase my first place! It's a manufactured home in an established community in the heart of town. Located a perfect distance from the University that I attend it's worked out great! 1200sq feet, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. A lot of space that fit into our price range in the expensive Colorado housing market of 2008. Ever since the first day that we bought the house I have managed to get myself involved in all kinds of crazy things... from tearing out the stained carpet all by myself, to figuring out how to start a lawn mower. It's a wild ride but it sure has been fun! I'm looking forward to being able to share that with people and *hopefully leave them inspired by my work and misadventures!

Hope you buckled your seat belts... I think we are in for one serious ride!
