My Purdy Potty Closet

Whoo! Barely into  the semester and I'm already feeling the pressure! That's okay it's so going to be worth it!

I think. That's what I've heard anyways so we'll stick with it.

But! I have finished my potty closet and just like I promised I am going to show you guys what I've done so far! It's so lovely to shower in a room that makes you happy. Great way to start the day I think! That and only working 4 days a week is pretty sweet too. Anyways... back to the bathroom. Remember how it looked before in the potty/shower stall area?

It was bad enough that I had to put up a reminder on the stall that you needed to "relax" while you were confined to the small and dark space. Though it's hard to see in the pictures the Behr paint that we had used originally was starting to run brown streaks down the wall. Hmmm. Dang. But with the assistance of Martha Stewart's paint color "Dolphin" and BHG paint from WalMart that terror you see above went from grungy and dirty too...

Gorgeous and refreshing!
Remember those little hooks that I bought I Hobby Lobby {here}? I think they look sooo much better! They actually add character and seem less traileresque. Plus they put more space between the towels so they don't all look corralled together up there.

The entire space just looks and feels bigger! Which is important I think. The entire idea behind the master bath redo was not only to increase property value, but to make the space feel more comfortable and personalized. I am finally making a space for me rather then making it work for everyone else. It's kinda nice to be a little selfish! Of course I'm still keeping the palette neutral so that I won't ever have to repaint if I do go to resell.

Do you like how cute my homemade "Ball" jars look? {Check em out here!} I think the splash of turquoise-blue is great with the white and light colored wall. That anddd it's one of my favorite colors. You know. Heheh.

The little over the potty thingy needed some redecorating. I got it from my roommate when she moved in because she was just going to throw it away and I thought it would be great to fit in that space! Especially since I can't really build any shelves in there. I used the magical powers of Goo-Gone to scour all of the old hairspray and dust off and it looks good as new!

Of course the rest of the place is still scary.... boxes fear the soaking tub because that is where all of them end up going to die. bumbumbummmm.

Eeek It's pretty scary in there I think! But! This next picture is for my Mom. She wanted a picture of my last first day of college.

"Hi Mom!"

Anyways! Back to my gorgeousss bathroom progress! The before on the left... it looks kinda scary and orange and then again on the right... ahhh cool and refreshing. I love it! I hope everyone is as excited as I am about all of these changes!

Oh! P.S. I even spray painted the TP holder so I could save a few dollars on the budget and not have to buy an all new one! Amazing!

P.S.S. I may or may not have super glued it to the wall. But like Bartleby would tell you;
"I'd prefer not to say."

Alright so what do you think so far?? If you follow me on Twitter you know that I found these great new light fixtures at Lowe's on a MEGA sale! I can't wait to show you them in the next couple days once my awesome self handsome and oh so nice boyfriend Mr Justin hangs them up for me!
