It is finally time to start the first phases of my kitchen remodel. Okay well it's not really a remodel as the layout is staying the same but! There are some principle things that are going to get fixed and changed. First of all this cabinet over the fridge is going to become an open shelf wine haven area. I am going to install a wine glass holder that allows the glasses to slide in and out instead of being haphazardly shoved places. Right now it's ugly but I promise it will be pretty soon.
These cabinets will meet a new life as white beauties.
I cleaned off the top part of the cabinets for the first time in several years. Crazy I left the garland until I start painting. I am going to do the counters first, the cabinets and then the walls. So that awful peanut butter semi-gloss will be long gone soon.
This is my ladder. Not very safe but it works! You can see the laundry basket in the laundry room that is just filled with all of my decorations from the kitchen. lol.
Random ugly little nook things that I have no idea what to do with...
There's space also above these side cabinets but it's a weird space so I'll have to work hard to get that all prettied up.
New outlet covers are definitely on the list and removing those stripe things too.
And of course a new faucet. I've already replaced the window coverings so that looks great so far.
I'm trying to find an inexpensive tile replacement option. Something a little better then .39 cent tiles caulked onto the wall in a row.
Who needs a time capsule with peelable tiles?
Sunny the kitten is easily amused. She spent almost the entire cycle watching the washer spin around and around.
Any ideas for replacing the tile? That's the part that worries me the most. I think I've found a few great contenders at Lowe's but the installation is the scary part. Looks like I need to do a little "Googling!"
